Vijay Vanthiyadevan,Vikram Raja Raja Cholan in Ponniyin Selvan

Earlier we broke the news of Vijay playing Vanthiya Devan for Mani Ratnam’s upcoming 200 crore magnum opus flickPonniyin Selvan.

‘Ilayathalapathy’ Vijay will be playing powerful Vallavarayan Vanthiyadevan’s role(the real hero of the story), ‘Chiyaan’ Vikram will make a strong presence asPonniyin Selvan(Raja Raja Cholan), and Vishal will portray the famous Adhitya Karikaalan(brother of Raja Raja Cholan). Mahesh Babu has an interesting character as he will be playing Uththama Chozhan in the movie.”

It may be worth mentioning here that a life sized statue depicting Vanthiyadevan(which Vijay is said to be playing) controlling a horse is erected in Chennai near Anna Flyover in Mount Road as an honour to this great personality during the first tenure of Mr. Karunanidhi as Chief Minister.

There was also news that Mani Ratnam is trying his best to bridge the gaps between Isaignani Ilayaraja and Isai Puyal AR Rahman to give his fans a historical musical extravaganza for the movie which is an adaptation of the Kalki novel of the same name.

Hold your breath people, the party already looks wild. Heehaw!!!
