‘Nanban’ is expected to release on Diwali
It is known that Gemini Film Circuit has bought the remake rights of the Bollywood blockbuster ‘3 Idiots.’ The film will be made both in Telugu and Tamil but with different star cast. Tamil version of the film has already begun. It is titled ‘Nanban’ and is being directed by S Shankar. Vijay, Jeeva, Srikanth, Ileana D'Cruz and Sathyaraj are playing the lead roles. The soundtrack and background score will be composed by Harris Jayaraj, who is working with Shankar for the second time after Anniyan (Aparichitudu in Telugu). Manoj Paramahamsa handles camera while editing will be done by Anthony. ‘Nanban’ is expected to release on Diwali. Filmmakers are yet to finalize cast for the Telugu version, but the female lead role will be played by Ileana D'Cruz in Telugu too. It is learnt that the Telugu version would be directed by director Shankar’s assistant. Prince Mahesh was approached for the lead role in it but this yet to be confirmed.
