The latest in Ponniyin Selvan
The latest on Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan is that Arya is to join the cast! Mani wishes to make Kalki’s beloved classic into a movie staying faithful to the author’s vision. Vijay and Mahesh Babu have already been finalized for key roles. There was a talk that Vishal will be part of the project but the actor said he has not been approached.Word is that Arya will be roped in. The hot and happening star is said to have committed to do films with Lingusamy, Boopathy Pandian, Mysskin, and Rajesh. There might be date hassles but Arya is determined to work with the ace director and says he will somehow squeeze in the dates.The film is to be made on a budget of 200 crores! Production house Eros has stepped in to finance this massive undertaking, or so insiders say.
